Camera Movement with Weaver Steadman

Although the Weaver Steadman camera head has somewhat grown out of fashion, we still utilize it quite often in conjunction with the Fisher 10 dolly.  For more precise moves we mount it on the slider upside down. Our secret sauce is Fisher 10, center mount, 21 arm, 90 degree plate, slider, Weaver. This is an excellent solution for tabletop work when a Ronin or robot arm are not in the budget.

For wider, higher angle, and more sweeping movements (but less sweeping than a jib), we deploy the Weaver on the Fisher CRA4 or CRA6. This setup is very similar to the setup above, but we replace the Slider with the Fisher CRA arm. Both are excellent ways to get off the tripod and get your camera moving.
